The episode starts out with an unconscious Doc Venture who is being rushed to the hospital by Sgt. Hated, Hank and Dean. They later end up having to call For Billy and White's help instead back at the compound due to the MRI that Doc is given causing complications. Meanwhile, The Monarch purchases a new high tech gadget known as "The Butter-Glider" which he becomes obsessed with. He then decides to go and kidnap Doc after an argument with Dr. Mrs. The
Monarch. Brock also makes an appearance in this episode in order to help save Doc's life.

- The Monarch refrenced Pete White's radio show "the White Room", first mentioned in Past Tense as The Monarch and Pete White attended the same college at the same time.
- Hank Venture's diagnosis that Dr. Venture's paralysis is caused by "another new uncle" refers to the incidents described in the first season finale episode "Return to Spider-Skull Island." Throughout the first season, Dr. Venture had nightmares of being attacked by a twin in the womb. In "Return to Spider-Skull Island," the audience learns that Venture did have a twin, and consumed him whole in utero. The twin, Dr. Jonas Venture, Jr., subsequently was removed from Thaddeus Venture's body.
